Awesome Assembly
Posted on April 14th, 2008 at 1:50 am by room02 and

Room 2 did the coolest assembly item and had the whole school cracking up with laughter, Mrs Slater was laughing so much that she was crying!

There were some really amazing girls who used their stunning voices to record a song onto garageband of the ‘12 days of Camp’ - sung to the tune of the ‘12 days of Christmas’.

Each time there was a different line in the song there was a new group of children who would come onto the stage and act out the line.

It was hilarious when one of our boys dressed up as a lady, and he even wore high heels and a wig - he sure had the audience in stiches of laughter.

Some children even dressed up as the teachers that had gone on camp. Isabelle was dressed up as Mr Mac and she had really clever facial expressions, and a costume which included chocolate bars and ginger beer. Hopefully Mr Mac thought that it was funny and was offended. Renei was funny as Miss Gibson because she even had her wrist brace on and it really looked like she was actually Miss G. Beau looks like he might be the new Mr Hurlow - and the funniest thing was that on the day the real Mr Hurlow was actually wearing exactly the same outfit as what Beau had dressed up in. Emily was a crazy Mrs Cameron with her red ‘guitar’, it was great to be able to remember the super time we’d had with Mrs Cameron at camp singing song with us on the first night. Felicity was walking around with a clip-board, looking very official like Mrs Bridgeman.

At the end we showed a slideshow of loads of photos to share our super camp memories with the rest of the school.

We were pretty proud of our efforts at assembly, especially considering that we only had 2 days to prepare then present it.
